Vibrant Green Pea Hummus

Its not secret that I adore hummus! Coming off from a week of juice cleansing, I thought that I would give the chickpeas a miss and try using green peas instead. I still used some white beans for texture and the usual hummus suspects- olive oil, tahini, spices. It turned out far better than any other hummus I have made before! Perfectly creamy, well balanced and the best accompaniment to any salad, steamed vegetables or my life-changing crackers!

  • ¾ cup white beans
  • 1 cup green peas, fresh or frozen + thawed
  • 1 large handfull fresh parley
  • ½ teaspoon o smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp dark or light miso
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup of lemon juice

Add all ingredients to a food processor or high speed blender and blend until smooth. Add salt to taste if you wish. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for 4-5 days or enjoy instantly.
