Choc Berry Smoothie Bowl

My love for smoothie bowls has been discussed in depth by now I believe! This however is a pretty special one. Creamy and rich yet light and nourishing. The addition of cacao makes this a particularly uplifting and stimulating bowl! So ditch your morning coffee and give this beautiful recipe a try.

Chocolate Berry Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients-

  • 1/4 cup of soaked chia seeds (I soak mine overnight in almond milk)
  • 1/2 a dozen frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 a cucumber
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of acai or maqui powder
  • 1 teaspoon of maca powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cacao powder
  • 1/4 of a ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup of almond milk

Blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.

Pour into a bowl and top with-

Toppings-

  • 1/2 teaspoon of shredded coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cacao nibs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cranberries
  • a handful of ripe strawberries and red grapes
  • a sprinkle of chia seeds
  • Optional- your favourite raw chocolate granola!
