Banana and Lemon Green Smoothie

I love when I find a new ingredient for my green smoothies! This is one ingredient that isn’t outlandish or the latest super food on the market, its very simple- lemon! Ive starting putting a a good slice of lemon (peel and all) in my smoothies and it adds such a gorgeous zing to the drink. Make sure you buy organic lemons seeing as you are using the skin and they tend to be heavily sprayed. Enjoy!


  • 1 large frozen banana
  • ¼ zucchini
  • 3 lettuce leaves
  • ¼ of a whole lemon- peel included (make sure its organic!)
  • ¼ inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of green powder
  • 1 teaspoon of  maca powder
  • ¼ of an avocado
  • ¼ cup of nut milk

Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.

Enjoy in a glass or eat with a spoon in a bowl!
